Pedestrian rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by car in West Bloomfield

WEST BLOOMFIELD (WWJ) — An investigation is underway after a person was hit by a car in West Bloomfield Monday afternoon.

Police were called to the area of Square Lake and Middlebelt Roads around 3:45 p.m. on Sept. 23 after a crash involving a single car and a pedestrian.

First responders rendered aid to the victim before rushing them to the hospital with what police described as “severe life-threatening injuries.” In a Monday evening update, West Bloomfield police officials said the victim’s injuries are “serious,” but they are expected to survive.

Authorities did not immediately release any information about the victim and it was not clear what happened in the moments leading up to the crash…
