“All I can say is thank goodness this storm didn’t come in winter!”
Parts of Cape Cod saw “impressive rainfall” from the coastal storm that brought precipitation to the state from Thursday to Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
While Western Massachusetts saw little to no rain, Cape Cod and Nantucket saw between 5 inches to almost a foot of precipitation, according to the service. The highest totals were reported in Chatham, where rainfall totals were reported in the range of 8.38 to 11.69 inches.
“Despite the heavy rainfall, because it occurred over several days and in an area that has been dry the last couple of months, no significant flooding impacts were reported,” the service said…
