ShotSpotter turned off in Junction neighborhood, residents feel unsafe

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – ShotSpotter in a Toledo neighborhood has gone silent and it’s leaving residents concerned.

ShotSpotter is the technology that helps police detect when a gun has been fired. City Council only approved cash to cover the final year of it’s contract and that leaves one of the three neighborhoods with coverage off the radar.

People in the neighborhood 13 Action News spoke with say knowing ShotSpotter is off makes them feel less safe…
