NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – We start the week with pleasant conditions across southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast with very few spotty showers and hot temperatures in the low 90s. Expect mostly dry, hot and breezy conditions through the area and a cold front to push through towards the end of the week. The same front and upper low pressure that will push it along is key in steering the tropical system we’ve been monitoring in the Caribbean.
The cyclone is expected to develop into a tropical storm as it pushes past Cuba and the Yucatan into the Gulf of Mexico. The system will move across incredibly warm water and is expected to blossom into a major hurricane before making a landfall somewhere along the Florida coast Thursday…
