PHOENIX — This summer, there have been 13 drowning deaths in Arizona lakes and rivers. Divers often face murky waters with zero visibility when recovering victims, which can make recovery operations difficult, and families wait in agony until their loved ones have been found.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office now has a remote-operated underwater vehicle that it says can help tremendously in recovery operations.
