STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) – Two cases against a Youngstown man accused of theft were closed in Struthers Municipal Court after a plea agreement.
Charles Zimmerman pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor theft charge and was sentenced to three years probation in connection to an August 2023 incident in Poland Township where police said he promised to complete roof repairs and was given money but never returned.
The homeowner gave Zimmerman $840 for materials, but when he was questioned nearly a year later while police were investigating a similar incident that happened in Springfield Township, Zimmerman told investigators that he did get the money for the Poland job but couldn’t complete the repairs because of the weather, according to the criminal complaint…
