Driver says his tire was punctured by another motorist on South Meridan Road in Youngstown

A motorist traveling on South Meridan Road near Mahoning Avenue on Youngstown’s far West Side reported that his rear passenger-side tire was punctured by an unknown man who came out of a dark-colored SUV at the intersection. The victim told police he did not know the perpetrator nor had there been any interaction between the two drivers as they traveled on South Meridian Road.

The incident occurred at about 5:50 p.m. on Sept. 19, according to the Youngstown police report.

The victim described the assailant as white male in his early 30s standing 5 foot 9 with skinny frame and wearing a hooded sweatshirt. The victim told officers the assailant pulled his SUV westbound on Mahoning Avenue toward Austintown. The report stated the SUV then circled back toward the Burger King parking lot where the victim’s disabled auto was parked, and called out: “Do you have a flat tire?”…
