Couple receives first reward check for aiding in finding body of alleged I-75 shooter

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – In a small ceremony Tuesday morning, London, Ky. Mayor Randall Weddle and Kentucky State Police Trooper Scottie Pennington presented Sheila and Fred McCoy with a $10,000 check from WB Transport. This payment is the initial portion of a total $35,000 reward for their role in locating the body of Joseph Couch, the suspect in the recent Laurel County shooting.

In a Facebook post, the mayor alluding to the McCoys’ efforts helping to bring an end to the manhunt and providing closure to the community shaken by the event. The mayor and Trooper Pennington also thanked WB Transport for their donation to the reward fund…
