Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative raises over $80K to support nine Upstate charities

Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative announced Sept. 18 its employees raised over $80,000 at its inaugural Employee Days of Giving campaign.

The funds, which were raised when BREC’s employees made a one-time gift or contributed 12 working hours of pay, were distributed among nine Upstate charities, including Anderson Free Clinic; Dot’s Kitchen; Feed a Hungry Child; Fostering Faithfully; North Greenville Food Crisis Ministry; Rosa Clark Medical Clinic; Samaritan Health Clinic; United Way organizations in Anderson, Greenville, Oconee and Pickens counties; and Upcountry Fiber Foundation.
