LOWVILLE — Philadelphia cream cheese reclaimed its Guinness World Record at Lowville’s Annual Cream Cheese Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21, for the world’s largest cheesecake — constructed in Lowville, the hometown of Philly’s biggest factory, during, appropriately enough, the village’s annual Cream Cheese Festival.

Previously having the Guinness title for Largest Cheesecake in 2013, the Philadelphia brand and its supporters shattered that record this year by more than 5,000 pounds by creating a 15,009-pound cheesecake — solidifying its place in cheesecake lore and supremacy…
