New Thai restaurant opens in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The former Cuckoo’s Nest space in Albany has a new tenant. Suwun Thai Home Cooking is now open at 234 Western Avenue.

Suwun Thai Home Cooking serves authentic Thai cuisine. The menu includes spring rolls, dumplings, noodle soup, fried noodles, fried rice, curry, tamarind duck, pork belly basil, and more. “After a successful 15-year run operating multiple Thai restaurants in New York City, our chef decided to return to their roots, inspired by the simple yet flavorful dishes passed down through generations,” reads the Suwun Thai website.

Restaurant group opening new eateries in Albany, Latham

Kaytrin and Devin Ziemann closed The Cuckoo’s Nest in May to focus on their Schenectady restaurants: The Nest and Milas Restaurant & Bar. Milas opened its doors at the end of June.
