TAMPA, Fla. — As Helene continues its track toward Florida, some Tampa Bay-area colleges and universities are canceling classes and closing down campuses.
USF classes canceled
The University of South Florida announced that all classes will be canceled beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 25, and will not resume until Monday, Sept. 30.
All USF campuses will also be closed from Wednesday through at least Friday, Sept. 27. The plan is to reopen campuses on Saturday if the weather allows.
While USF residence halls at the Tampa and Sarasota-Manatee campuses will remain open, residence halls at the USF St. Petersburg campus will close starting on Wednesday, Sept. 25…
