Corona Woman Suspected of Multiple Felonies Including Theft at Local Cemetery

A Corona woman, identified as Emily Hernandez, has been apprehended on multiple felony charges after being connected to a series of thefts, including one at a local cemetery. According to the SBSD – Fontana Sheriff’s Department, the incident at Green Acres Mortuary in Bloomington took a turn for the worse when a visitor’s stolen credit cards were used to make fraudulent purchases.

The investigation commenced on September 13, when Deputy Foy was dispatched to the mortuary at around 7:57 p.m. The theft involved Hernandez allegedly entering the victim’s vehicle, and making off with a purse. The victim’s credit cards were later used in the Fontana area before she could deactivate them. Fontana Sheriff’s Station detectives took over the case on September 15, where they linked Hernandez to the crime.

Notably, Hernandez, a 32-year-old Corona resident, was on felony probation in Riverside County at the time of her arrest. Authorities detained Hernandez on September 17, 2024, driving a 2020 Jaguar F-Pace, which upon investigation was revealed to be an unreported stolen vehicle.
