High School football has reached the midpoint of the regular season. There is only one change on each side of the state line in this week’s Top 5 Tuesday rankings.
Let’s start in the Volunteer state. Unicoi County holds strong at five after remaining unbeaten against West Greene. Johnson County is at four, moving to 5-0 by winning over Ashe County. Elizabethton let Boone hang around for a half before taking care of business to improve to 3-1 and hangs in at number 3. Science Hill drops to number 2 after a tough home loss to Maryville on Friday. They are 3-1 on the year. This means Greeneville is back at number 1 after a big win on the road at Morristown West.
