MELBOURNE — Saint Stephen’s Way, a local organization that, according to its website, “provides affordable housing with supportive services to homeless families referred by the Brevard School system,” is set to install a new fishing pier into Crane Creek likely be completed by the beginning of 2025, according to Eddie Struttmann, president of the executive board of Saint Stephen’s Way.

Saint Stephen’s Way, 2310 Lipscomb Street, opened in the spring. Featured are eight housing buildings that are home to 40 families on 8.25 acres, with 1,500 feet of property on Crane Creek.

“We’re around 90 kids right now and about 50 adults,” he said. “It’s as much a blessing to us to be able to give back as it is to them.”…
