Theme parks across Central Florida announce closure ahead of Hurricane Helene’s landfall

Central Florida — As Hurricane Helene approaches Florida, theme parks across Central Florida will suspend operations Thursday to ensure everyone’s safety.

Universal Orlando

Universal announced it will shut down Volcano Bay on Thursday due to Hurricane Helen. The operation will resume back to normal on Friday.

Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Halloween Horror Nights and hotels will remain in operation, but this might change as they continue to monitor conditions.

Busch Gardens

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has also decided to shut down operations Thursday to ensure the safety of its ambassadors, guests and animals.

They encouraged guests to check their websites for updates on park reopening.
