SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WGEM) – Illinois businesses will soon be getting a break on credit card fees thanks to a new law enjoying broad support.

The Interchange Fee Prohibition Act bans credit card companies from imposing swipe fees on the taxes and tips portions of a sale.
