Phoenix launches new 24/7 hotline to report safety risks at parks

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The city of Phoenix is finding new ways to create a safer and cleaner environment for visitors at city parks. Officials launched a new hotline this week giving people a 24/7 direct line to report safety concerns.

It’s the first of its kind and was launched to address any violations of the city’s code of conduct, such as vandalism, graffiti or even if you see something broken at the park like a slide.

“We see vandalism calls on occasion. People might see a teenager graffiti something on a wall,” said Jarod Rogers, the deputy director of natural resources with the city’s Parks and Recreation Department. “A lot of trash or debris left over from someone who may have been misusing the parks.”…
