The LAPD is on the hunt for a woman involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Westlake. The incident, which occurred on September 12 around 4:50 p.m., has shaken the community and raised questions about scooter safety on city sidewalks. Two individuals were riding e-scooters westbound on James M. Wood Boulevard near Westmoreland Avenue when a rider struck the victim. The impact caused both the rider and pedestrian to fall. Instead of stopping to help, she fled eastbound with her male companion. The injured pedestrian was taken to a hospital by family but later succumbed to his injuries……
