Crazy Town frontman Shifty Shellshock’s cause of death revealed

New information has surfaced regarding the passing of Shifty Shellshock, the lead singer of Crazy Town, who passed away in June at the age of 49. According to a report reviewed by USA TODAY from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Shellshock—whose real name was Seth Binzer—died due to the “effects of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine.” His death was officially classified as accidental, with no other medical conditions contributing to the tragedy. He passed away at a residence in Los Angeles on June 24.

Shortly after his death, his family released a heartfelt statement to The Sun, acknowledging his years-long struggle with drug addiction. “Seth battled addiction throughout his life. Doing so under the public eye made it especially difficult,” his family shared. “God knows he fought so hard against his demons, but ultimately, he lost that battle.”
