Carl Icahn’s massive scrapyard in downtown Nashville headed to auction, date unknown

A massive East Bank scrapyard in the heart of downtown Nashville will go up for auction this year, according to Nashville real estate services firm CBRE.

The 45-acre property occupied by PCS Metals and owned by Icahn Enterprises has been the subject of questions regarding redevelopment on Nashville’s East Bank for multiple mayoral administrations. That uncertainty may soon end if the auction is successful.

A representative of CBRE confirmed the impending auction, which does not yet have an exact date. CBRE Senior Vice President Byran Fort will serve as the lead broker on the sale, which he said will likely take place in mid-November…
