Lives saved from addictions, whether alcohol or drugs, were celebrated Sept. 19 by the Wayne County commissioners in Honesdale while making note of the ongoing free and confidential services provided by county agencies.
The Wayne County Drug & Alcohol (D&A) Commission served 3,347 Wayne County residents between July 2023 and June 2024, Director Jeff Zerechak stated. In addition, John Nebzydoski, director of Wayne County Office of Behavioral and Developmental Programs, reported serving 779 county residents in that same fiscal year.
