Ex-Old Bridge youth soccer league prez avoids jail after stealing $88K from organization

A former president of the Old Bridge Soccer League was sentenced to five years’ probation and ordered to pay restitution after being convicted of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the youth organization and using it for personal expenses.

Kathleen Murawski was convicted earlier this year of second-degree theft and ordered to pay $88,000 in restitution to the Old Bridge Soccer League, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The case against her husband, Joseph Murawski, who served as the league’s field director, was dismissed because the investigation revealed that he had no knowledge about his wife’s theft, the prosecutor’s office said…
