LOS FRESNOS, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — Community members in Los Fresnos voiced concerns on overgrown grass in their neighborhood, a hazard that makes their area a breeding ground for pests. The grass on California Road near State Highway 100 also covers street signs and puts drivers at risk.
Margarita Esparza lives on the road, and is concerned with overflowing grasses and mosquitoes near her neighborhood.
“One can call to complain, and they tell us ‘no that part does not belong to us, that belongs to another district’ and they don’t come,” Esparza said. “And now we call for them about the mosquitoes, and they’re not little mosquitoes. They are big mosquitoes.”…
