A driver struck and injured a mother and her 7-year-old child Thursday in an apparent hit-and-run at Ramona Elementary School.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. Thursday at the school in Hemet, located at 41051 Whittier Ave., according to California Highway Patrol records. CHP officer Jonathan Torres told City News Service that the situation “looks like” a hit-and-run.
