ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Dozens of dogs have been cleared from a Fulton County animal shelter ahead of one of the strongest hurricanes the Atlanta area has seen in years.

The old animal shelter on Marietta Boulevard temporarily homed 25 dogs due to “severe overcrowding” at the current Fulton Industrial Boulevard location.

Flooding at the old location was the fear of many who work for the shelter…
