AKRON, Ohio — Ahead of the Akron Marathon on Saturday, Sept. 28, an Akron Police Department official told 3News the department is “confident the marathon will be safe.”
This follows the early June mass shooting in which one person was killed and more than two dozen people were injured. While police still have not caught the people involved in the shooting, the official said there are “no risks to the public.”
