Another “first” is on the way for our busy Atlanta art community — the inaugural Atlanta Art Fair is coming to Pullman Yards from Oct. 3 through 6.
The fair will host a who’s who of galleries, from local contributors to international, alongside artworks by over 100 of the most exciting contemporary artists working today. Atlanta Art Fair Director Kelly Freeman and Atlanta curator Karen Comer Lowe joined “City Lights” Managing Producer Kim Drobes to discuss Atlanta’s exciting new art fair.
“For us, education is everything, as well as accessibility,” Freeman said, explaining their approach and main goals with bringing an art fair of this scale to Atlanta. “What you have in this one defined space is access to some of the leading experts in the industry on the artists that they represent. The best thing an attendee can do within the space is to go up to the gallerist, go up to the curator and ask questions.”…
