It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Williamstown ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They beat the Kingsway Dragons by a goal, winning 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Braves’ disadvantage in MaxPreps’ New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Dragons are ranked 55th).
The victory made it two in a row for Williamstown and bumps their season record up to 2-4-1. As for Kingsway, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1.
