Monett came tearing into Thursday’s match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over the Aurora Houn Dawgs. The Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Monett has been performing incredibly well recently as they’ve won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Aurora, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Monett will square off against Branson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Monett’s pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Branson’s hitters will have their work cut out for them.
