BEAUMONT — The Caroline Gilbert Hinchee House Restoration Project is six years into the process of restoring the historic Hinchee House in Beaumont, highlighting it’s progress and the need for donations and volunteers to continue its work preserving history.
The Caroline Gilbert Hinchee house, built in 1906, was saved from demolition by the 501c3 named after it in 2018. Kate Beaver, President of the project, says she’s tired of the ‘throw it away, get something new’ attitude when it comes to adding new elements or construction to an area.
