MID-MICHIGAN (WNEM) – Good morning and happy Friday, mid-Michigan! We hope you are just as glad the weekend is so close. Before we get there, check these five stories you may have missed.
1. The 40-year-old man accused of killing and dismembering a Bay City man will be formally charged today. Police arrested him on Wednesday on Elm St. in Bay City. Police identified the victim as Justie Stilwell, 41. Some of his body parts were found last week at a boat launch. Other parts were found Wednesday. The suspect is expected to be charged with open murder.
2. No word yet on what caused a fire that destroyed Scotti’s Coney Island on Thursday morning in Burton. Crews arrived shortly after 5 a.m. to find the business engulfed. A nail salon sustaining fire and smoke damage. The restaurant is gone and the hair and nail salon is closed for repairs. The fire chief said it took less than ten minutes to get to the scene…
