BISSELL Pet Foundation fall national “Empty the Shelters” event begins October 1

SRCAS has participated in several BISSELL Pet Foundation “Empty the Shelters” events throughout the last few years. These events have helped find homes for many of Santa Rosa County’s most vulnerable animals.

“We’re excited to be partnering with BISSELL Pet Foundation again to provide such low adoption fees for the first two weeks of October,” said Randy Lambert, Animal Services Chief. “We have been making strides as a shelter to reduce the homeless animal population in Santa Rosa County and events like this are a great way to get people thinking about adding a shelter pet to their family.”

BISSELL Pet Foundation, Empty the Shelters began in 2016 with the goal of encouraging more families to choose adoption. Nearly 283,000 pets have found loving homes since its inception. Empty the Shelters is BISSELL Pet Foundation’s largest program, partnering with 742 animal welfare organizations in 49 states and Canada to reduce adoption fees…
