Multiple weather records fall in Colorado, including one set in 1892

Yesterday was a toasty September day in Colorado, and multiple heat records fell around the state as a result.

Not only did Denver break a 132-year-old ‘daily high’ temperature record that was set on September 26, 1892 and tied in 2010, numerous other spots saw new ‘daily record highs’ getting recorded.

Denver officially broke the record high of 90 degrees (set in 1892 and tied in 2010) for September 26 before 2 p.m., as temperatures hit 91 degrees at Denver International Airport. Temps kept climbing in the Mile High City, though, eventually pushing this new record to 93 degrees, according to the National Weather Service…
