Big rig fire causes lane closures on Highway 99 in Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. — A big rig caught fire early Friday morning in Stockton leading to lane closures on northbound Highway 99, California Highway Patrol logs show.

CHP was dispatched around 2:16 a.m. to the scene near the offramp for Eight Mile Road. The #2 and #3 lanes were reported closed as of 4:18 a.m. with an estimated time of reopening around 10 a.m.

It was unclear what caused the fire or if anyone was injured…
