Police: 22-year-old man shot in face, calf in White Plains

White Plains police are investigating a shooting Friday afternoon in Downtown White Plains. Police say that a 22-year-old man was shot in the face and calf. Authorities say that their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Police say that at least four shots were fired around North Lexington and Hamilton avenues around 1:35 p.m. They believe an initial incident occurred near MLK and Barker Avenue. Police told News 12 that the man who was shot was driving a late-model BMW, which was found in the roadway on North Lexington Avenue, just north of Hamilton Avenue. The handle on the vehicle’s driver-side door appeared to be ripped off, and the vehicle had four apparent bullet holes.
