Meet the sergeant whose military experience helps him coordinate police salute send-offs

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — When the hearse carrying Deputy Cailee Campbell’s casket emerged from a garage Friday morning, hundreds of police officers stood in salute.

Coordinating the massive formation was Syracuse Police Sergeant Todd Cramer.

“We do this because we all wear the badge,” said Cramer after the procession. “That’s what brings us together. We do it to show respect to our departed.”
