South San Francisco, Calif. ( KRON ) — Police and fire units responded to a stabbing on campus at South San Francisco High School on Friday, according to the South San Francisco Police Department. According to police, officers and detectives responded to the school at 400 B Street at 12:01 p.m. on a report of a possible stabbing.
An investigation revealed a fight had led to a 16-year-old victim being stabbed. The victim, police said, was taken to an area trauma center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, a 14-year-old, was found and taken into police custody for attempted murder.
Police called the stabbing an isolated incident and said there was no threat to the community. The school was placed on temporary “Secure Campus” status, according to the South San Francisco Unified School District, meaning that doors were closed and locked.
