A tragic airstrike on a hospital in the Ukrainian city of Sumy has left 10 people dead and 22 injured. The attack, which involved two separate strikes, has been condemned by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a deliberate attack on medical facilities.

Authorities said that the first attack killed one person and caused significant damage to the hospital. As rescuers responded, a second strike occurred, targeting the evacuation effort.

The injured were taken to nearby hospitals, with five in critical condition. All patients from the targeted hospital have been evacuated.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said the attack was carried out using Russian "Shahed" drones. The Ukrainian Air Force also reported a separate strike in the Sumy region using a guided bomb.

President Zelensky called for attention to Russia’s targeting of civilians, hospitals, and other non-military targets. He emphasized the need for international support in confronting Russia’s aggression and achieving peace.
