Soccer Recap: Cory-Rawson Takes a Loss

Cory-Rawson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Miller City Wildcats, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Hornets can’t take it too hard given the team’s big disadvantage in MaxPreps’ Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 187th).

Cory-Rawson’s defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Miller City, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cory-Rawson will welcome St. John’s at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. St. John’s is coming into the contest with three straight losses on the road, meaning Cory-Rawson will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Miller City, they will take on Fort Jennings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday…
