LG&E crews continue working to restore power across Louisville. See how many are impacted

Thousands of LG&E customers remain without electricity Saturday as utility crews across the Louisville metro work to restore power after the bulk of Tropical Storm Helene’s remnants passed through the state .

Repair crews from LG&E and its sister company Kentucky Utility have restored power to 72% of the 195,500 impacted customers across Louisville and the state since Friday, LG&E spokesperson Liz Pratt said. The company has received reports of 82 broken utility poles, more than 1,400 downed wires and additional damages, she said.

Pratt said crews worked in the elements to reactivate power Friday whenever it was safe. Now that the worst of the storms have dissipated , crews are doing the “heavy lifting” and working around the clock. Customers who are still without power at this point in the restoration process likely live in areas where damage was more severe, making assessment and repairs necessary for a fix, Pratt said…
