UWF Takes Down Christian Brothers

PENSACOLA, Fla. – West Florida volleyball (8-5, 3-0 GSC) kicked off GSC play with a 3-0 week by taking down Christian Brothers (4-8, 0-2 GSC) at UWF Field House on Saturday afternoon by a 3-1 score (25-7, 25-20, 22-25, 25-11) with convincing first and final sets.

UWF held its second consecutive opponent under .100 hitting, as the Lady Bucs managed just one frame above that mark. The Argos hit .364 with 54 kills to just 10 errors despite 14 less attacks than CBU. In the first and fourth frames, they committed just one total error with offensive outputs of .579 and .560, respectively.

Kumara Flanagain led the hosts’ offense with 14 kills on 27 attacks. Emily Breazeale and Magdalena Vongkasemsiri each scored eight kills with .421 and .400 performances, respectively. Caiden Largent was just behind with seven kills on just 13 swings for a .462 hitting percentage. Delaney Hanowell headed the squad in that category with a .625 on five kills. Jenna Zydlo and Tylah Yeomans each put down three kills on seven swings, and Taylor Teaman and Liberty McLean made good on their lone attack attempts…
