Miami 8th after moving in both week 6 polls

Miami fell one spot in the Associated Press Top 25 and moved up one in the USA Today Coaches polls and is ranked eight nationally in both for week six. Oregon and Penn State passed Miami in the AP Top 25. Miami is the highest-ranked team in both polls and not in the Big 10 or SEC.

Miami received 1,170 points in the AP Top 25. Oregon has 1,216 points in the AP Top 25 and Penn State has 1,208. The Hurricanes had 981 points in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Miami moved up one spot in the USA Today Coaches poll after Mississippi fell six spots following their home loss to Kentucky.

Oregon is sixth in the USA Today Coaches Poll with 1,090 points and Penn State is seventh with 1.062 points. Miami is slightly ahead of Missouri who is eighth nationally with 948 points.
