JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency is sending resources to Georgia in response to Helene’s recent destruction along the Southeastern states. MEMA also has several resources currently in Florida.
According to a MEMA representative, “Mississippi has deployed 3 generators to Georgia, as well as 1 Chinook, 2 BlackHawk helicopters, and the MS USAR Task Force remains in Florida.”
