Hurricane Helene derailed a lot of schedules for sports throughout the state, but Houston County teams were able to get a couple in before the weather hit.
Here’s a roundup of last week’s softball:
Houston County
Houston County’s series against Thomas County Central was cut short due to Hurricane Helene. They won on Tuesday 7-6, nearly allowing a comeback as they were up by 7-3. They also played two tournament games against Harris County (L 5-1) and Northside-Columbus (L 7-3).
