GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A community effort is underway involving several Greenville organizations to gather relief supplies for those in Western North Carolina impacted by Hurricane Helene.
The supply drive will be held at Ignite Church in Winterville and will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the week, beginning Monday, September 30.
Residents are asked to donate necessities like water, non-perishable foods, baby formula, bug spray, trash bags, toiletries, sanitation items, feminine hygiene products, toothbrushes, toothpaste and baby formula.
Other items that will be accepted at the drive include the following:
- Baby Wipes
- Diapers (children & adult)
- Baby Formula
- Baby Wipes
- Bug Spray
- Sunscreen
- Plastic Utensils, Cups, Plates
- Manual Can Openers
- Trash Bags (13 gallon or Contractor bags)
- Cleaning Supplies including bleach
- Plastic Sheets/Tarps
- Toothbrushes
- Toothpaste
- Toiletries
- Pet Foods (Dog and Cat)
- Pet Food and water containers
- Hand Sanitizer
- Sanitizer Wipes
- Feminine Hygiene Products
- Heavy Duty Work Gloves and Latex Gloves
- Damp Rid

- Batteries
- Generators
