Monday : Monday will continue to see the clouds and a few showers across central Alabama. It will be a little warmer with highs in the lower 80s.
Tuesday: High pressure will build across the Southeast U.S. on Tuesday, and we will finally see more sunshine. Still a small chance for a passing shower or two, but like Monday, very little rain and no substantial rain anywhere.
Wednesday/Thursday: A dry front will move across Alabama on Wednesday. We will stay sunny with more warm high temperatures in the middle 80s. Thursday will continue to be sunny as high pressure sits over Alabama. High temperatures will be in the middle 80s.
The weather pattern starts to change on Friday. We are watching for a possible tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico by the end of this week. On Friday, it could be in the Central Gulf as a tropical depression or storm (Leslie). Depending on how this disturbance develops, it could bring a little rain to Alabama by Friday.
Weekend Outlook : Right now, we’re leaning with a drier weekend forecast, which would mean that tropical disturbance swings to our southeast and we don’t see much impact from it. Having said that, what could become Leslie has the potential to throw a monkey wrench into the forecast for Friday and the weekend so keep checking back to see how that system evolves and impacts our forecast.
