Quincy man arrested for alleged robbery

QUINCY — A Quincy man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery after he allegedly held up a gas station early Friday morning. 

Richard Balderas Mondragon, 29, was arrested without incident soon after the alleged robbery, according to a release from the Quincy Police Department. The robbery occurred about 7:15 a.m.  

An employee at the Chevron mini-mart, 603 Central Ave. S., in Quincy told law enforcement that a heavyset Hispanic man came into the business, displayed a knife and demanded money from the till, the release said. The employee gave the man an undisclosed amount of money; the man then ran south on Central Avenue away from the business. …
