MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — Sprint car fans on the East Coast will assemble once again this Saturday night to see the 62nd running of the Weis Markets Williams Grove Speedway National Open Presented By Sage Fruit for sprint cars, sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars Series, going 40-laps in distance and again paying $75,000 to the winner.

The widely acclaimed event will go down in history with a Saturday A-Main total purse alone reaching nearly $192,000.

The National Open has a grand history that dates back to its inception and first champion in 1963. It is a history that pre-dates all other season-finale races held anywhere in the East…
