Ga., Federal Emergency Management and National Guard aid Augusta after Helene

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Richmond County is actively collaborating with DNR and, the National Guard to clear roads restore access the area, while Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency send emergency supplies, we learned Monday morning.

In response to our requests, GEMA and FEMA are supplying critical resources, including water, fuel, generators, mobile kitchens, MREs, chainsaws, and more.
